In 1976, a small group of organizers in Mobile, Alabama, established Commonwealth National Bank to meet the needs of individuals and businesses that had previously been denied equal access to financial services. Its founders took on the vigorous process of make it a national bank.
Today, Commonwealth has three offices to serve the needs of customers in the Mobile area. Its first permanent office opened June 26, 1977 on St. Stephens Road in the heart of the Toulminville community. Renovated in 2008, this location offers full-service banking and serves as the bank’s main office.
